Jackets are often needed to keep a person warm, whether working or just simply outside. However, in addition to carrying jackets made from 100% sandstone duck fabric, we carry jackets for other working conditions, such as for welding and for outdoor work in the rain.
Carhartt, Dickies, and Arborwear make standard outdoor jackets to keep out the cold. All are made from some kind of insulated material, such as Dickies’ Arctic Shield or Carhartt’s Arctic line and sandstone duck fabric. For additional warmth, Carhartt has quilt-lined jackets lined with nylon polyester insulation. Arborwear, however, makes jackets preferred by wood workers because of a combination of heavy duty cotton canvas and warm lining.
Welding jackets and other clothing, such as sleeves and bibs, are often made of leather and sometimes treated to be flame retardant. For rain wear, jackets are often made of PVC material and can be equipped with Hi-Viz strips.
